Box annealing system is a level two system that has been localized. The most important functions of this system are optimizing charge generation, following the process of charges implementation, and following the process of bases and furnaces with direct connection with their level one system. The setpoints are calculated for execution by level one when generating the charge. As soon as the system resources are released, this system selects the most appropriate charge for execution by receiving the physical position of the coils in the warehouse and their pre-planned charges, which is done by the warehouse management subsystem, and sends all related information to the level one system.

This system monitors the actual execution of charges by monitoring the condition of the annealing line resources, including bases, furnaces, internal covers, cooling caps, and cranes. Collecting and organizing information realistically and moment by moment to facilitate monitoring and forecasting future production are also other functions of this system.
This system includes models that, based on algorithms and rules, with charges plan and schedule, predict site conditions, and provide a complete program of charges, coils and other equipment status. These models also have user interfaces that display the program produced for production units by creating simple visual and graphical conditions. This subsystem has extensive connections to level one systems. The connection with level one is highly important, and its absence, it is impossible to start any new charging on a discharged base.
Also, this system prepares and displays various reports and diagrams of different information, functions, and statistics. This system’s another remarkable function is managing downtime and maintenance times. Some halts can be detected automatically by receiving events created at level one or other events, which the system does this based on the conditions specified for them. In addition, other halts are accessible to the operator.
At the end of a annealing cycle and completion of a charge, all data and calculation results performed for one charge and its windings are archived for later use.
